Friday, May 12, 2006 - MHS Senior Prom. Well, actually it’s the Junior/Senior Prom, but it’s prom nonetheless. Sad to say though, I had a lot more fun with my Junior Prom than my Senior Prom. IDK if it was the feeling, “this is one of our last few times together”, or what, but I definitely had more fun at my Junior Prom. But the whole thing wasn’t bad - just the prom itself. The way up there was fun, and definitely what we did after was fun, but just not the prom itself. Don’t get me wrong, I still had a pretty good time, but before and after the prom was the BEST. This page will mostly be pics, but I’ll also narrate as we go along. BTW; these pics will not be of the best quality, but neither was my camera, so what can you expect. They’re pretty good nonetheless...

To start, my friend met me at my house, where the limo picked us up to go and get everyone else.

This is me (right) and my friend (left).

This is me and my date.

Here’s the rest of our limo gang. I think you can tell whose date belongs to who, but I’ll explain anyway. From left to right, we have another friend of mine, and his date (my cousin, who’s making a face), my friend’s date, and finally, my friend.

This is our limo driver - nicest, and the most FUN person - you’ll see more of him later...

Well, we arrived at the prom location. We meet up with people we know from school, take a few pictures with them, and then we get our “formal” picture taken. I have it, but due to a copyright, I can’t post it. Anyway, now for a few shots from the prom itself.

These are just random shots from our table. The people in the 3rd picture (lower-left) were not in our limo - we just ended up sharing the table with them, but the girl is also a friend of mine. The 4th photo (lower-right) is the centerpiece. These were on each table, and believe it or not, these took over 4 hours to make - EACH.

Some shots of the dance floor. It was CRAMMED. The shot on the left is what the floor looked like. The shot on the right came out a bit dark (this was before I remembered my camera had a light source), but it’s of me and my date dancing. Actually, we weren’t, we were just posing - this was after the slow dance songs were done, but I wanted a shot of us dancing, so we just posed while my friend took the pic.

Shortly after that last pic was taken, we decided to head out. That’s when the real fun began. We decided to stop at Taco Bell to get a small bite to eat (because we were heading to my house for breakfast later), and then we headed home, but not before making a “pit stop” - Wal*Mart!

While the rest of the guys went off to do whatever, I stayed with the rest of the girls and had a few “Kodak Moments” (though, as you can see, my camera is indeed NOT a Kodak...). The girls tried on a few sunglasses and then decided to buy our limo driver some presents. And they were not “guy” presents. After doing that, we went over to grocery (the Wal*Mart was a Supercenter), where my friend’s date bought mini-cupcakes and then we went to check out.

But not without buying more stuff! At the checkouts, they had Hostess stuff on sale, so my friend bought a box of “Ho-Hos”, and my cousin decides to strike another silly pose. Believe it or not, the lines were outrageous at Wal*Mart. Why would I say this? Well, it’s ALWAYS like that during the day, but it was MIDNIGHT when we were there! You’d think people would be home sleeping (this was a 24-hour Wal*Mart, BTW). Anyway, we checked out, and made our way back to the limo...

But not before giving our limo driver the presents we bought him! They consisted of a tiara, a few party necklaces, and a magic wand (just for the record, I had no part in this - it was all the girls’ idea).

Anyway, afterwards, we dropped off my friend’s date and my other friend. We had the limo until 1:00 and we still had time to kill, so after dropping them off, the rest of us went crusin’ for a little bit. After that was done, we went back to my house where we enjoyed a lovely breakfast put together by our parents. We also uploaded the pics and vids onto the computer and watched them. Which reminds me - here are the vids I took. They’re all of while we were at Wal*Mart, and they’re funny (well, at least in our opinions...).
